RELAX

It seems the atmosphere is charged with nonstop stress lately. Trying to make sense of it all is a waste of time and energy. The wasted time and energy become time missed from work, play, exploring, gaining an education, and just living life.

More often than not, we focus on the negativity of the world instead of its beauty. Frustration and anger lead to illness or dependence on other sources such as medications, alcohol, and drugs. Obviously, these other sources lead to their own set of problems.

It is time to take your life back from the world. Take time to smell the roses. Take time, even if it is only fifteen minutes a day, to do something that relaxes and recharges you. Spend time meditating, praying, singing, reading, exercising, playing or listening to music of your choice. Let it bring you back to who you are instead of the stressed out, worn out, angry people we have become. Do it for your health, your family, your friends, or even the stranger that may need you to be the non-stress point that you used to be.

Smile and learn to love and live a peaceful life again!

New House Tour and Cleaning

As some of you may know, I recently moved to a new and smaller house. It's always fun getting to decorate a new place and put your own personal touches on it.

Unfortunately, the new place not only needed decorating but a good cleaning. Smaller spaces, turns out, are easier to mess up. Who knew? So here is a brief tour of the kitchen and living room before and after mess. Enjoy!

On This Christmas Holiday...

On this Christmas holiday:

 -Love.
-Be giving.
-Be humble.
-Be grateful.
-Love one another.
-Please, be safe in your travels.
-Spend time with family and friends.
-Remember the reason for the season.
-Remember those less fortunate than you.
-Remember our military personnel that cannot come home for Christmas.
-Remember Christmas's past with loved ones that are no longer with us.
-Look into the eyes of a child on Christmas morning and remember your childhood.
-Love.

Everything should begin and end with love. Merry Christmas!!

Coffee Chat: Coffee

Oh, how I love my morning coffee! Most people assume that coffee drinkers need the caffeine in the morning and this is why we head for the coffee maker first thing. I do not deny that for some this very well may be true. For me, however, it is the warmth and familiarity that I look forward to waking up to, along with the smell.

I admit to the addiction. I don't get cranky without my morning cup of joe but do feel like something is missing or that my morning isn't complete without it. Strange? Yes. Coffee is like a good friend that I have a conversation with every morning. No, I don't sit there at my desk and talk to a cup of steaming hot brown liquid, but thoughts come to me. At times creativity is born from my cup. I can relax and think how I need to orchestrate my day to get the maximum productivity out of it.

Often, during the early morning hours, I write a blog or fill out my planner, make a list, remember things from the previous day that I need to finish or appointments that need to be kept. My coffee drinking time is the time that I slow down and actually plan things before the chaos of the day begins and everything else is forgotten. It is viewed as a tool that allows me to open my mind and spill out all the nonsense and sensible things so that it can be prioritized. I guess that might make me seem a little flaky. Whatever it takes to get the job done is what will be done including relaxing in the morning with a steaming hot cup of brown liquidy heaven.
